Webinar: Maximising Social Value in Procurement: A Practical Workshop for Public Sector Buyers

We’re pleased to be taking part in an upcoming virtual workshop hosted by Socitm, in partnership with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and ourselves at the Social Value Engine.

This 90-minute session is designed for public sector buyers who want to build confidence in how they measure and evaluate social value through procurement.

The session will explore the current policy landscape and provide an overview of commonly used tools, including TOMs (Themes, Outcomes, Measures), SROI (Social Return on Investment), and the Impact Evaluation Standard.

From our side, Maddie Kortenaar and Jennifer Jefferson from East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be sharing insights into how meaningful measurement can support better commissioning and clearer outcomes.

As public procurement continues to evolve, so too must the way we approach social value—ensuring that what we measure is relevant, credible, and rooted in real impact. This workshop is a valuable opportunity to reflect on your organisation’s current approach, ask questions, and learn from others working to embed social value in a practical and proportionate way.
